There is no doubt that we must adapt our mobility to the future. The undeniable advancement of climate change highlights the need for a sustainable transformation in transportation. Alternative drive concepts and electric vehicles are essential components in creating a more environmentally-friendly public transport.

Electric buses are increasingly common in urban areas, with transport companies planning a complete fleet conversion in the coming years. However, e-mobility still faces numerous challenges. Our event will examine the current technology, depots and workshops. Companies will share their experiences with electric mobility in rural and urban settings, while speakers will discuss necessary fire protection measures and staff training. We will also examine alternative propulsion systems ranging from trolleybuses to batteries and hydrogen utilization.

Alongside digitisation and electric mobility, autonomous driving is one of the major innovation topics of our time. Highly automated driving is soon to be piloted in Germany, with legal approval now being followed by the first pilot projects in public transport. Public transport companies will convene on site to discuss the current status with the industry, business and politics. As always the VDV Electric Bus Conference and Trade Fair will offer assistance for future infrastructure investments, energy source selection and company support programs.

Trade fair evening "mobility move night" on April 1st 2025 from 6.00 p.m.
