Autonomous driving with ahoi in Hamburg:  The ahoi project (which stands for "Automation of Hamburg's on-demand service with integration into public transport") aims to combine the components of ‘on-demand’ and ‘autonomous driving’ in a use case that is unique in Europe. The core objective of the innovation project, which is planned to run until June 2027, is to develop and test an on-demand operation with a mixed fleet of autonomously and manually controlled vehicles on public roads and gradually deploy them in regular operations. To this end, an integrated control centre and applications for barrier-free use will be developed and accompanying research will be carried out, including on the topic of acceptance.
