Konvekta CO₂ heat pump air conditioning network - The revolution in air conditioning for electric buses The future of electromobility is green, efficient and sustainable - and Konvekta is setting new standards in thermal management for electric and hydrogen buses with the CO₂ heat pump air conditioning network. Maximum efficiency - minimum environmental impactThe CO₂ heat pump climate network is much more than just a heat pump. It is an intelligent overall system that raises air conditioning, heating and battery temperature control to a new level of efficiency. By combining the CO₂ heat pump, the patented refrigerant displacement technology, the CleverControl control system and the Energy Collect system, which recovers excess heat from axles, batteries and other components, the system reduces overall energy consumption by up to 57%. Over 6,000 systems are already successfully in use worldwide and benefiting from this intelligent technology. CO₂ instead of chemical refrigerants - a game changer for public transportWhile conventional air conditioning systems work with synthetic refrigerants that pollute the environment and are becoming increasingly difficult to use due to strict regulations, Konvekta relies on the natural refrigerant CO₂ (R744). This is non-flammable, non-toxic and has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 1, compared to the environmentally harmful alternatives with a GWP of up to 1,430.Saving energy, increasing rangeA field test with two identical electric buses shows impressive results:- The bus with the CO₂ heat pump climate network consumed only 14,877 kWh per year, while the conventionally heated bus required 35,923 kWh.- This means an annual saving of over €3,160 per vehicle - while at the same time reducing CO₂ emissions. With this technology, Konvekta is setting a new standard for the climate-friendly and cost-efficient heating and cooling of electric buses - a decisive step towards sustainable mobility in our cities.
